Arthur Eftink

ORAN, Mo. -- Arthur John Eftink, 80, of Oran died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.

He was born May 18, 1922, at Portageville, Mo., son of John and Josephine Glastetter Eftink Jr. He and Adeline C. Jansen were married April 17, 1945. She died July 30, 1995.

Eftink was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, St. Joseph Sodality, and Knights of Columbus Council 4311.

Survivors include three brothers, Fred Eftink of Quincy, Ill., Albert Eftink of Chaffee, Robert Eftink of Portageville; two sisters, Irene Brands of Portageville, and Sister Nora Eftink of Sisters of St. Joseph in St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7, and Knights of Columbus prayer service at 7:15.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Guardian Angel Church, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
