A Sikeston, Mo., man pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to two felony counts of distribution of 5 grams or more of cocaine base.

James R. Warfield, 26, sold 7.3 grams of cocaine base to a confidential informant in Sikeston on March 11 for $250. The next day, he sold 6.1 grams to an informant for $200.

Warfield now faces a maximum punishment of life in prison and a $4 million fine on each count. Sentencing was set for Feb. 24, 2003.
