Robert Martin

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Robert E. "Bob" Martin, 83, of Perryville died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, at his home.

He was born Dec. 17, 1918, in Worthington, Minn., son of Joseph N. and Rose S. Kunze Martin. He married Yvonne Marie Martin, who died in December 1987.

Martin had been an insurance salesman, and an assistant superintendent of schools in Flagstaff, Ariz. He was a member of Perryville Elks Lodge 2701.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald Martin of Jackson, Kenneth Martin of Santa Barbara, Calif.; a daughter, Christine Davidson of Waldoboro, Maine; a friend, Jeanette Tiehes of Perryville; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Sunday. An Elks service will be held at 2.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be private.
