CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. -- The investigation continues into an apparent homicide involving a Bragg City, Mo., resident.

The Pemiscot County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri Highway Patrol are investigating the death of Jimmy D. Grills, 52.

According to authorities, Grills' body was found at 2 a.m. Saturday by his girlfriend. The body was lying in the living room floor of his Bragg City Route 2 home.

The Pemiscot County coroner pronounced Grills dead at the scene and ordered an autopsy be performed in Farmington.

Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell described the death as an apparent homicide.
