Sarah Chesmore

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Sarah E. Chesmore, 61, of Sikeston died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Dec. 29, 1940, in Illinois, daughter of John and Helen Britt. She and Charles W. Chesmore were married Dec. 27, 1957, at Sikeston.

She was a food service worker for Sikeston Public Schools and attended Beulah Land Fellowship Church in Sikeston.

Survivors include her husband of the home; one son, Chuck Chesmore of Sikeston; three brothers, David Britt of Sikeston, Gene Britt of LaCenter, Ky., and Vernon Britt of Canalou, Mo.; two sisters, Jo Ann Summers and Jeanette Dowdy, both of Sikeston; and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from noon until time of service Monday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. James Russell of Sikeston officiating. Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery.
