Jewell Watson

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The funeral for Jewell Alfreda Watson of Sikeston will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Kelley Grubbs will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Watson, 90, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at Clearview Nursing Center.

She was born May 20, 1912, in Sikeston, daughter of Adam and Molly Fowler Ferguson. She and Alva Watson were married April 20, 1933, at Benton, Mo. He died Dec. 9, 1969.

Watson had worked at International Shoe Co. She was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church, and of Retired Senior Volunteer Program many years.

Survivors include three sons, Michael and Ron Watson of Sikeston, James Watson of Wappapello, Mo.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two sons.
