Kmart recalling 50,000 wooden toy vehicles

WASHINGTON -- Kmart Corp. is recalling about 50,000 wooden toy vehicles filled with candy because the wheels may break off, posing a choking hazard to children.

Kmart has not received any reports of injury or incidents, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.

The recalled wooden vehicles include a red wagon, truck and train packed with candy. Kmart sold the toys at stores nationwide in November and December.

Consumers can return the toys at any Kmart for a full refund or call Kmart at 1 (800) 635-6278 for more information.

In other recalls announced Thursday:

Century Tool and Manufacturing Co., of Cherry Valley, Ill., is recalling about 6,300 propane-powered camping stoves because the burner assembly can restrict the flow of gas, causing a gas leak and creating a fire hazard.

Century Tool has received eight reports of hoses separating from the stove, causing one minor injury.

The recalled stoves include the Century, Hillary and LL Bean brands. Sporting goods, camping supply and mass merchandise stores nationwide sold the stoves from May through September. Consumers can call the company at 1 (800) 435-4525 for information about replacing the stoves.

Madrical Audio Laboratories, Inc., or Middletown, Conn., is recalling about 1,300 subwoofer speakers because a screw inside can cause a high voltage short, producing an electric shock.

Madrigal has received one report of electric shock, but no injuries have been reported.

The recalled 1,000-watt Revel B-15 subwoofers have the name "Revel" printed on the bottom left of the rear panel and "PERFORMA B15 SUBWOOFER" printed on the bottom right.

Specialty audio dealers sold the subwoofers nationwide and in Puerto Rico from January 2001 to October 2002. Consumers should contact the dealer where the speakers were purchased or call Madrigal at 1 (800) 424-8043 to receive a free repair.
