Five people were injured, one critically, in two accidents in Southeast Missouri on Friday and Saturday.

Michael Stephens, 33, of Bloomfield, Mo., was reported in critical condition Saturday night at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau after a 3 a.m. accident on Highway 25, a mile north of Bloomfield. His pickup ran off highway, struck a post and overturned.

Four people suffered minor injuries in a one-car accident on Interstate 55 in northern Perry County at 1:55 p.m. on Friday.

The patrol said Violet Revelle, 22, of Charleston, Mo., was injured when she lost control of her southbound car. The vehicle ran off the road and overturned several times.

Also injured were Tyler Revelle, no age listed, of Charleston; Toby Johnson, 6, of Charleston and Gabriel Fountain, 26, of Howardville, Mo.

All four were taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital, the patrol said.
