Now the secret's out

ONE OF the area's best kept secrets is the Jackson wrestling team. This group of young men continued to improve every weekend. They should have a lot to say about who wins the SEMO Conference this year, which happens to be at Jackson High School. Come watch.

Experience is there

I FIND it ironic that coach McCord of the Central Tigers would complain about a lack of experience costing his team the game against Kennett down the stretch. The problem is that McCord has four seniors who were sitting on the bench who all started as juniors, and now they can't get off the bench to play in the game. They have players who have valuable experience, but they're not getting a chance to play. So, coach McCord, if you're going to complain about experience, let your experienced players play.

Those crazy kids

THE PARENTS who drop off their kids at basketball games and don't supervise them should reconsider their actions. Some of their children find ways to get into trouble. I've seen some parents who drop off their kids to watch the game, and then the kids go get into the car of an older friend and leave. Goodness knows what they do then.

Just sing along

LEAVE THE music at the Show Me Center alone. We can't all be pleased. Personally, I don't like to see Southeast lose games at the Show Me Center, but that's out of my control, too, just like the music.

The way of the world

I FEEL bad for Kurt Warner, really. His biggest problem right now is mental, not physical. But the reality of sports is that you have to produce all the time. If my work quality goes down in my job, I get fired. If Kurt Warner's work quality goes down, he should be traded.

Fed up with the music

I AGREE with the caller about rap music at the Show Me Center games. I can do without hearing about a rapper smacking his "ho" around. Disgusting.

Good for a chuckle

FOR THE caller who thinks Eric Crouch will ever play at quarterback for the Rams: That's funny.

The angels are singing

GOOD GRIEF, two front-page pictures of Notre Dame basketball in one week? Are you trying to get in close with God this week or what? Give me a break.
