BENTON, Mo. -- Megan Summer Beggs and Robert William Van Pelt exchanged vows Dec. 3, 2005, at St. Denis Catholic Church. The Rev. Normand Varone performed the ceremony. Organist was Michelle Scherer of Benton. Vocalists were Bruce and Sarah Scherer of Benton, and Tyree Chapman of Chaffee, Mo.

The bride is the daughter of Cameron Beggs and Sheila Beggs of Benton. The groom is the son of Ed and Tanya Sadler of Chaffee, and the late Robert Van Pelt.

Maid of honor was Whitney Beggs of Benton and matron of honor was Ashley Barnett of Scott City, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Heather Beggs of Benton, sister of the bride; Jennifer Barnett, Marissa Essner and Nicole Kern, all of New Hamburg, Mo.

Blaine Swinford of Chaffee was best man. Groomsmen were Christopher Van Pelt of Cape Girardeau, Andrew and Justin Sadler of Chaffee, brothers of the groom; G.P. Glueck of New Hamburg, and Nathan Morgan of Chaffee. Ushers were Travis Beggs of Benton, brother of the bride; Matthew Stroup; Marc Sadler, cousin of the groom; and Ryan Pobst, all of Chaffee.

Candlelighters were Emily Scherer of Cape Girardeau and Brittney Heuring of Benton, cousins of the bride.

Flower girl was Liberti Van Pelt, daughter of Audrey Douglas and Christopher Van Pelt and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Jaxon Van Pelt, son of the bride and groom.

The reception was held at the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Hall in Chaffee. Servers were Leonna Heuring and Cheryl Beggs, aunts of the bride, and Sherry Reynolds.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Dec. 2 at Hickory Hills.

Mrs. Van Pelt is a 2001 graduate of Kelly High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004, and is pursuing a master's degree in community counseling at Southeast. She is a community support worker with Bootheel Counseling Services.

The groom is a 2000 graduate of Chaffee High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in health management from Southeast. He is a fitness specialist/trainer at Saint Francis Medical Center's Fitness Plus.

After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Chaffee.
