Rachel Nicole Cain and Zachary Ryan Long were married March 13, 2010, at Grace United Methodist Church. The Rev. Tom Sullenger performed the ceremony. Pianist and organist was Susan Hatley, and flutist was Misty Rivers, both of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Amy Cain of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Michael Long of Danville, Ill., Kevin and Terri Haake of Carlyle, Ill., and Barb Long of Danville.
Matron of honor was Carrie Cain of Cape Girardeau, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sarah Haake of Carlyle, sister of the groom; Megan Welby, Rachel Burnett and Jodi Lasher, all of Cape Girardeau. Jodi is the daughter of Kevin and Elaine Lasher and cousin of the bride.
The groom chose his brother, Christopher Long of Carlyle, as best man. Groomsmen were Justin Cain of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; Bryce Bradford of Carlyle, cousin of the groom; Alex Lasher of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride; and Nick Zurovec of St. Peters, Mo. Junior groomsman was Zander Cain, son of Justin and Carrie Cain and nephew of the bride. Ushers were Bill Welch of Hillsboro, Mo., cousin of the bride; Grant Carmen of Carlyle, son of Eric and Karen Carmen and cousin of the groom; and Noland Cook of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighters were Chelsea Welch, cousin of the bride, and Jessica Long, cousin of the groom. Chelsea is the daughter of Bill and Theresa Welch. Jessica is the daughter of Jeff and Jill Long.
Flower girls were Haylea and Isabelle Helton, daughters of Bo and Laura Helton of Tazewell, Tenn., and cousins of the bride. Ringbearer was Andrew Mathes, son of Steve and Melody Mathes.
Guest book attendants were Amber Welch, cousin of the bride, and Jenalee Long, cousin of the groom. Amber is the daughter of Bill and Theresa Welch. Jenalee is the daughter of Jeff and Jill Long.
The reception was held at the church. Servers were members of Grace United Methodist Women.
The rehearsal dinner was held March 12 at the church, hosted by Michael Long and Kevin and Terri Haake.
Mrs. Long is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Christian School for the Young Years.
The groom is a graduate of Southeast University. He is the real estate photographer at the Southeast Missourian.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
