KELSO, Mo.-- Amy McClain Carman and Daniel Justin Smiley were married June 7, 2003, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso. The Rev. Oliver Clavin performed the ceremony. Eucharistic minister was Hermina Westrich. Scriptures were read by Larry McClain, godfather of the bride.

Organist was Hope Essner, and soloists were Renee Reinagel and Alan Bruns. Altar servers were Brent McClain, cousin of the bride, and Elliott Henley. Giftbearers were Richie and Beth McClain, uncle and aunt of the bride.

Parents of the couple are Dave and Georgia Carman of Kelso, and Rondell and Sharon Smiley of Bernie, Mo.

Maid of honor was Mandy Henley. Bridesmaids were Tracy Carman, sister-in-law of the bride; Kasie McClain, cousin of the bride; and Tabetha Strack.

Ryan McClendon served as best man. Groomsmen were John Carman, brother of the bride; David Smiley, brother of the groom; and Bradley Botsch. Ushers were Travis McClain, cousin of the bride, and Tony Smee, cousin of the groom.

Candlelighters were Alan Weber and Kasie McClain, cousins of the bride.

Flower girl was Megan Smiley, niece of the groom. Ringbearer was David Carman, cousin of the bride.

Liz Hobbs attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Catherine and Mollina Stallings, cousins of the bride, and Kaitie Henley.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 6 at Celebrations.

Mrs. Smiley is a graduate of Notre Dame High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a registered nurse at St. Francis Medical Center.

The groom is a graduate of Bernie High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southeast University. He is a registered nurse at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

After a wedding trip to the Mexican Riviera, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
