ADVANCE, Mo. -- Karen Regina Georger and Ryan James Owens were married Jan. 21, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Advance. The Rev. David Dohogne performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Trio Girardeaux,

Parents of the couple are Gary and Helen Georger of Advance, and Dr. Thomas and Janelle Owens of Mosinee, Wis.

Maid of honor was Sarah Georger of St. Louis and matron of honor was Katrina Shoemaker of Oran, Mo., sisters of the bride. The attendants were Anna Wilson of Piedmont, Mo., Charity Worley of Cape Girardeau, and Matt Livengood of Mount Vernon, Ill.

Jason Owens, brother of the groom, and Paolo Provenzano, both of Madison, Wis., were best men. The attendants were Tony Madonna of St. Louis, David Whereatt and Ann Junkerman, both of Minneapolis, Minn. Ushers were Michael Georger of Advance, cousin of the bride; and Scott Hendrickson and Scott Seefeldt of St. Louis.

The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Advance.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Jan. 20 at Cedar Street.

Mrs. Owens received a bachelor of science degree in medical technology from Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed in the virology lab at St. Louis Children's Hospital.

The groom received a bachelor of arts degree in political science and history and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin. He is pursuing a doctorate in judicial politics at Washington University in St. Louis.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple resides in St. Louis.
