Amanda Rae Hutteger and Randol LeRoy Morris Jr. were united in marriage Sept. 29, 2007, at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Tom Kiefer performed the ceremony. Organist was Dottie Meyr of Cape Girardeau, and vocalists were Kristen Boos of Columbia, Mo., and Aaron Walker of Campbell, Mo.
Parents of the couple are David and Judy Hutteger and Randol and Marlene Morris, all of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Emily Hutteger, sister of the bride, and matron of honor was Amy Neels, both of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Sarah Hyslop of Columbia; Alyssa Holyfield of St. Peters, Mo.; and Emily and Jennifer Morris of Cape Girardeau, sisters of the groom.
Aaron Walker was best man. Groomsmen were Eric Niswonger of Chillicothe, Mo., Brad Neels and Nathaniel Brink of Cape Girardeau, Jared Keller of Iowa City, Iowa, and Stratton Tingle of Chattanooga, Tenn. Ushers were Joe Shuffler of Cape Girardeau and Matt O'Loughlin of Jackson.
Candlelighters were Darby Niswonger of Chillicothe and Alex Wieser of Quincy, Ill.
Flower girls were Julia Williams and Zoie Roth. Ringbearer was Nick Williams. Julia and Nick are the children of Scott and Penny Williams of Cape Girardeau. Zoie is the daughter of Todd and Amy Roth of Cape Girardeau.
Brittney Spencer, cousin of the groom, attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Lex and Veronica Spencer, cousins of the groom, and Tayla and Logan Meyr, cousins of the bride. Brittney, Lex and Veronica are the children of Alvin and Lisa Spencer of Fruitland. Tayla and Logan are the children of Brad and Paula Meyr of Altenburg, Mo.
The reception was held at the A.C. Brase Arena Building. Servers were Becky Klob and Cathy Hutteger of Jackson and Kathy Wright of Cape Girardeau, aunts of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 28 at the 4-H Building.
Mrs. Morris is a 2001 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in human environmental studies from Southeast Missouri State University in 2006. She is pursuing a master of arts degree in human environmental studies at Southeast. She is employed at the University Child Enrichment Center.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Central High School, and a 2002 graduate of Louis F. Garland Fire Academy. He was an active duty Army firefighter in Ft. Campbell, Ky., from 2002 to 2003. He received an associate's degree in fire science technology from Pike's Peak Community College in 2004, and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in fire science from Columbia Southern University. He is employed by Cape Girardeau Fire Department.
A wedding trip to Mexico is planned in June 2008.
The couple resides near Tilsit.
