Sarah Jean Parker and Ronald Lewallen were united in marriage Sept. 14, 2002, at Christ Church of the Heartland. Randy Vaughn performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Melba Parker of Scott City and Verlon Parker of Cape Girardeau. Ronald and Brenda Lewallen of Holcomb, Mo., are parents of the groom.
Maid of honor was Tandra Phelps of St. Louis. Matron of honor was Mendy Hicks of Nashville, Tenn., sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Bri Ream of Jackson, Dana Wren of Scott City, Cheryl Johns of Campbell, Mo., Sara Scott of Piggott, Ark., and Teeca Colbert of Campbell.
Aaron New of Holcomb served the groom as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Richie Burke and Justin Dobbins of Kennett, Mo., Clint Harris of Springfield, Mo., Brian Hicks of Nashville, brother-in-law of the groom; Chad Larose of Batesville, Ark., and Chris Anderson of North Carolina.
Flower girl was Alexis Lewallen, daughter of the bride and groom. Ringbearer was Mathew Lambert, son of Eric and Misti Lambert of Scott City.
Candlelighters were Josh and Jonathan Buchheit, sons of Steve and Pam Buchheit of Cape Girardeau and cousins of the bride.
Guest book attendants were Heather Fehr, Jessica Little and Debbie Bertrand.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Elks Lodge. Servers were Margie Huber and Louis Ledure.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 13 at Drury Lodge.
Mrs. Lewallen is a graduate of Three Rivers Community College, and is pursuing a degree in sports management from Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Drury Lodge.
The groom is a graduate of Three Rivers College and Southeast University. He is a teacher, assistant basketball coach and head baseball coach at North Pemiscot High School.
The couple resides in Portageville, Mo.
