Emily Scannell and Bobby Brune were united in marriage Nov. 25, 2006, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Belleville, Ill. Monsignor Jim Buerster performed the ceremony.

Pianist was Brad Behrmann, trumpeter was Cassie Behrmann, violinist was Anne Vewig, and vocalists were Brad Behrmann and Megan Higgins, all of Belleville.

Parents of the couple are Keith and Bert Scannell of Swansea, Ill., and Greg and Barbara Brune of Cape Girardeau.

Maids of honor were Lauren Scannell of Swansea, sister of the bride, and Suzanne Gundlach of Belleville. Bridesmaids were Alison Mark of Belleville, Jill Foppe of Chicago, Lindsey Church of Cape Girardeau, Julie Wunderlich of Jackson, and Amanda Wangler of Quincy, Ill., cousin of the bride.

Andy Dunaway of Cape Girardeau and Adam Davis of Franklin, Tenn., were best men. Groomsmen were Nathan Owen of Wentzville, Mo., Ben Lowrance of Oakland, Calif., Dax Tobin of Los Angeles, Calif., Jim Fox of Kansas City, Mo., and John Stone of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Brent and Brian Brune, brothers of the groom, and Jeff Brune, cousin of the groom, all of Cape Girardeau.

Flower girls were Madison and Emma Brune, daughters of Brent and Jenny Brune and nieces of the groom.

Gretchen King of New York City attended the guest book. Greeters were Allison Brune of Memphis, Tenn., cousin of the groom, and Nicole Dunaway of Cape Girardeau.

The reception was held at Bellecourt Manor.

The rehearsal dinner was held Nov. 24 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville.

Mrs. Brune is a 2000 graduate of Althoff Catholic High School in Belleville. She received a bachelor of science in early childhood education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2005. She is a second grade teacher with Jackson School District at Orchard Elementary.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science in sports management in 2002, and a master of arts in higher education in 2004, both from Southeast. He is coordinator of marketing and promotions for athletics at Southeast.

After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
