BENTON, Mo. -- Sarah Scherer and Tyler Buckmaster were married June 12, 2010, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton. The Rev. Michael Casteel performed the ceremony. Pianist was Amanda Dirnberger of Cape Girardeau, and vocalists were Alison and Lorna Gaffney of St. Louis.

The bride is the daughter of Bruce and Michelle Scherer of Benton. The groom is the son of Bret and Suzanne Buckmaster of Kansas City, Mo.

Matron of honor was Emily Oliveira of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ashley Burns and Nova Fleming of Kansas City.

Daniel Buckmaster of Kansas City was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Brian Buckmaster, brother of the groom, and Shawn Burns, both of Kansas City. Ushers were Kris Oliveira of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the bride; Doug Beggs of Blodgett, Mo., cousin of the bride; Carl Sharp and Eric King.

Flower girl was Kyliegh Bagby, daughter of Mark and Danyel Bagby of Belleville, Ill., and cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Cole Williams, son of Randy and Amy Williams of the state of Kansas, and cousin of the groom.

The reception was held at Deerfield Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

The parents of the groom hosted the rehearsal dinner June 11 at Bella Italia.

Mrs. Buckmaster is a 2005 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in exercise and movement science from Missouri State University in Springfield in 2009. She is pursuing a master's degree in occupational therapy at Rockhurst University in Kansas City.

The groom is a 2004 graduate of Parkhill South. He received a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Missouri State University in 2008. He is a technical support engineer at Balance Innovations in Lenexa, Kan.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is residing in North Kansas City, Mo.
