Jessie Lea Sexton of West Plains, Missouri, and Kody Nelson Thompson of Jackson were married May 30, 2015, at City Church in Cape Girardeau. Matt McDonald performed the ceremony.

Jessie is the daughter of Mike and Connie Sexton of West Plains, and Kody is the son of John and Teresa Thompson of Jackson.

Maid of honor was Emily Sexton of West Plains, sister of the bride. Devin Sexton of West Plains, sister-in-law of the bride, was bridesmaid.

Kyle Thompson of Jackson, brother of the groom, was best man. Luke Hubbard of Creve Coeur, Missouri, brother-in-law of the groom, was groomsman.

Flower girls were Kennedy Sexton of West Plains, niece of the bride, and Lily Hubbard of Creve Coeur. niece of the groom. Ringbearers were Drew and Drake Thompson of Jackson, nephews of the groom.

A reception was held at Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson.

Jessie is a graduate of Missouri Southern State University and works at Ruopp & Ruopp Dentistry.

Kody is a graduate of Jackson High School and works at Kody Thompson Agency (American Family Insurance).

After a wedding trip to Playa Mujeres, Mexico, the couple lives in Millersville.
