JACKSON -- Mary Janel Witte and Vaughn William McDowell were married Oct. 2, 1999, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy. The Rev. Don Schramm performed the double ring ceremony. Reader was Libby Anderson, cousin of the bride. Soloist was Vicky McDowell, mother of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Harry and Nora Witte of Troy. The groom is the son of Harold and Vicky McDowell of Jackson.

Maid of honor was Lila Witte of St. Peters, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Nicole Watry of Fenton, sister of the bride; Nicole Seib of Kansas City; and Elaine Witte of Troy, sister-in-law of the bride.

Reagan McDowell of Jackson served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Goddard of Jackson, Brad Seib of Kansas City, and Brent Witte of Troy, brother of the bride. Ushers were Brad Stockton of Ballwin and Tyson Norman of Jackson.

Flower girl was Cheyenne Long, daughter of Charee Long of Sedgewickville and cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Patrick Witte, son of Charles and Linda Witte of Troy and nephew of the bride.

Following the ceremony, an outdoor reception, dinner and dance was held at the home of the bride's parents. Servers were Pauline Davault, aunt of the groom, and Patsy Abernathy, great-aunt of the groom.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 1 at the home of the bride's parents.

Mrs. McDowell is a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is an accountant at NAPA Auto Truck Supply in Troy.

The groom is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He is a design engineer with Cambridge Engineering in Chesterfield.

The couple is residing in St. Peters.
