The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of stealing.

* Dennis W. Collins Jr., 25, 2859 Whitener St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for public consumption and stealing.

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of stealing at Bi-State, 612 S. Sprigg St.

* Tyangela K. Gibson, 20, of Sikeston, Missouri, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for probation violation.

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of domestic assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

* A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of assault on a law enforcement officer.

* Nolen E. Wilson, 66, 555 N. Spring St., No. 35, was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine.

* Melvin J. Steward Jr., 28, 1101 Ranney Ave., was arrested on Cape Girardeau warrants for failure to appear for making a false report, failure to appear for trespassing and probation violation.

* Justin J. Steen, 26, 1135 S. Pacific St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for burglary.

Summonses

* Angelinta I. Whitney, 27, was issued a summons for public consumption of alcohol.

* Samantha M. Gansmann, no age given, of Washington, Missouri, was issued a summons for following too close.

* Kaleb Starnes, 17, was issued a summons for trespassing at 1432 N. Water St.

* Theresa A. Boyle, no age given, of Jackson was issued a summons for striking a legally stopped vehicle.

Burglary

* Burglary and the theft of firearms were reported.

Thefts

* A computer and GPS were reported stolen at 807 N. Sprigg St.

* Mercato, 425 S. Mount Auburn Road, reported alcohol stolen.

* Theft was reported at Wal-Mart, 3439 William Street.

* Damage to a Sentry safe and a laptop computer and theft of tennis shoes, a laptop computer and power cord were reported at 2842 Whitener St.

* A prescription was reported stolen at 1767 Northwoods Drive.

Miscellaneous

* A 21-year-old man was taken into protective custody.

* Possession of a controlled substance was reported.

* Assist other agency was reported.

* A request for service was reported.
