Christopher and Joan Talley of Cape Girardeau have announced the engagement of their daughter, Allison Lynn Talley, to Benjamin Louis Gerdes, both of Jackson. He is the son of Mark and Georgiana Gerdes of Jackson. Talley received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Southeast Missouri State University in 1998, and is pursuing a degree in engineering physics. She is an engineer with Zimmer Radio Group...

Gerdes is a 1996 graduate of Jackson High School. He is a service technician with Peters Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. in Gordonville.
