Jerry and Valerie Fischer of Bad Axe, Mich., announce the engagement of their daughter, Justine M. Fischer, to Jeremy W. Reid. He is the son of Donald and Elizabeth Reid of Jackson.

Fischer is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Texas in San Antonio. She is employed at Vanguard Veterinary Clinic in San Antonio.

Reid is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School. He is serving his sixth year in the U.S. Air Force. He will be assigned to Cannon AFB, N.M., as MQ-1 predator sensor operator in March.

A July wedding is planned at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Ubly, Mich.
