Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fisher of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Kate Elizabeth Fisher, to Eric Ryan Sievers. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Sievers of Jackson.

Fisher is a 2001 graduate of Jackson High School, and is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Pioneer Market in Jackson.

Sievers is a 1998 graduate of Jackson High School. He is co-owner of Sievers and Caldwell Construction, and also farms.

A July 26 wedding is planned at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.
