Drs. Anatolly and Olga Goychuk of Kiev, Ukraine, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kateryna Anatolievna Goychuk, to Walter Alexander Schroeder III, both of Columbia, Mo. He is the son of Dr. Walter and Cathy Schroeder of Cape Girardeau.

Goychuk is a graduate of Novosilky High School in Kiev. She received a bachelor of science in finance from the National Agricultural University in Kiev, and master of science degrees in agricultural economics and in management science from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and expects to graduate this summer.

Schroeder is a 2004 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Evansville in 2008, and a master's degree in economics from Fordham University in 2009. He is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and expects to graduate this summer.

The wedding is planned later this year.
