Larry and Helen Holmes of Scott City announce the engagement of their daughter, Loretta Rose Holmes, to Robert Stefan Lents, both of Jackson, Mo. He is the son of Dr. Russell and Robyn Lents of Jackson, Tenn.

Holmes is a 2003 graduate of Scott City High School. She received a doctor of pharmacy degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2009. She is manager of Kmart Pharmacy in Cape Girardeau.

Lents is a 2004 graduate of Trinity Christian Academy in Jackson, Tenn. He received a bachelor of science degree in business management from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2008. He is a sales associate with Zimmer Holdings in Cape Girardeau.

A May 14 wedding is planned at the Common Pleas Courthouse gazebo in Cape Girardeau.
