Dr. Hank and Becky Pernicka of Rolla, Missouri, announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha Elizabeth Pernicka, to Keith Allen LeGrand, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Keith is the son of Bill and Bonnie LeGrand of Kelso, Missouri.

Samantha received a Bachelor of Science degree in English from Truman State University in 2013 and a Master of Science degree in library and information science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2015. She is a preschool teacher at Covenant Schools in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Keith received a Bachelor of Science degree in 2014 and a Master of Science degree in aerospace engineering in 2015 from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He is an aerospace engineer at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque.

An October wedding is planned in Kelso.
