Shy - Merritt

ORAN, Mo. -- Raymond and Cathy LeGrand and Sammy Shy, all of Oran, announce the engagement of their daughter, Tammy Lee Shy, to Clifton Orville Merritt, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Janice Merritt of Dagsboro, Del., and the late Demmy Merritt.

Shy is a graduate of Oran High School, and received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Missouri. She is employed at Nordenia USA.

Merritt is a graduate of Indian River High School in Dagsboro. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He is employed at Procter and Gamble.

A Dec. 4 wedding is planned at Cape Bible Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
