Strobel -- Kennard

Shane and Bobbi Jo Strobel of East Prairie, Missouri, and Debbie Deal Strobel of Sikeston, Missouri, announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Michelle Strobel, to Matthew Richard Kennard, both of Jackson. He is the son of Rick and Chris Kennard of Jackson.

Emily received a bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2011. She works at Ogborn Tax Service in Cape Girardeau.

Matthew is a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and works at Coad Chevrolet in Cape Girardeau.

An Oct. 22 wedding is planned at Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau, with a reception to follow at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.
