A portion of the proceeds from the Cape Girardeau Roller Girls' home competitions are donated to local charities. So far this year, the roller girls have donated almost $2,000 to local charities. They donated $850 to Old Town Cape in February and $950 to Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary in March. The team's next bout, on April 16, will benefit the SEMO Network Against Sexual Violence, which is changing its name to Beacon Health Center at the end of this month...
