Contours holding fitness open house next week

Contours Express and other members of International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association will partner with other local businesses in promoting the national "Get Active America" campaign.

Contours owner Emily Stapleton also invites women in the community to work out free at Contours throughout the week of May 15 to 19 at Contours Express in the Town Plaza. They will have access to the club's trainers and state-of-the-art exercise equipment.

On May 20, Contours -- which normally caters to women -- is inviting families in the community to an open house from 8 a.m. to noon. Stapleton said that a representative from Meals in Thyme will offer tips for healthy eating and will have samples available. Just Teasin' will give five-minute chair massages, and a representative from the city Parks and Recreation Department will talk about what's available for families this summer to enjoy exercising outdoors.
