Eggs aren't just for eating. Did you know you can do some cool science experiments with eggs? Get an adult to help you with this experiment.

Materials

* Hard-boiled, peeled egg

* A jar with a 1/2-inch-round neck

* Matches

* Paper

Instructions

STEP 1: Light a small piece of paper on fire with the matches and immediately place the paper in the jar.

STEP 2: Quickly put the egg on the opening of the jar and watch.

Explanation

As the air pressure in the jar decreases, the higher air pressure outside the jar pushes the egg through the small opening and into the jar.
