Women's conference next Saturday

An area women's conference will begin at 9 a.m. Sept. 23 at Jackson First General Baptist Church activity center. The conference is sponsored by New Direction, the church's women's ministry. Guest speaker will be Bonnie Floyd of Celina, Texas. The event is a nondenominational gathering of women for a day of inspiration and worship. Call 243-8467 for information and tickets.

Homecoming service at Harmony in Marble Hill

Harmony Congregational Church, six miles east of Marble Hill on Highway 34, will have a homecoming service on Sept. 24. Services start with Sunday school at 9:30 a.m followed by The Crimson Gold Singers at 10:30 a.m. with a carry-in lunch at noon.
