The entire Bible in one hour?

With music?

Apparently, it can be done. And it will be done this weekend in Cape Girardeau.

"If you've ever wondered or had questions about the Bible, or never read Bible all the way through, it's one of cooolest ways you'll be able to get the big picture," said Angel Hillman, worship arts manager at La Croix United Methodist Church.

Today and Sunday, La Croix is hosting "Long Story Short," a one-hour production by Willow Creek Community Church that tells the story of the Bible.

The free performances will begin at 5:30 p.m. today and at 9:15 and 11 a.m. Sunday at La Croix's auditorium.

"It's really fast paced, super funny and really creative," Hillman said. "They do it with little set and about 100 costume changes."

The four-person team from Willow Creek dramatizes the old testament and new testament. Hillman said all ages will enjoy the production.

Willow Creek Community Church is based in Barrington, Ill. The church operates the Willow Creek Association, an organization of like-minded churches that includes La Croix United Methodist.

The WCA is a not-for profit ministry with more than 11,000 member churches from 90 denominations and 45 countries

The event will take the place of normal weekend services at La Croix.
