Meet the valedictorians of the class of 2009

School: Eagle Ridge Christian School

Hometown: Cape Girardeau

Parents: William and Tammy Woodall

Post-graduation plans: I will be attending Southeast Missouri State University in the fall. My major is undecided at the moment; I am considering going into nursing.

High school activities: National Honor Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters. I was the statistician for the basketball teams for two and a half years.

Honors: American Legion Certificate of School Award and ACSI Superior Creative Writing Award.

GPA: 3.5

Favorite high school memory: My favorite high school memory was when the boys and girls basketball teams won the state championship this past season. I'm glad I got to share in all the excitement with my all of my wonderful friends.

Summer plans: This summer, I plan on getting my first job after I turn 18 next month. I also hope to audition for the ninth season of "American Idol" sometime in the next month or two.

What will you miss about high school? The thing I will miss the most about high school is getting to see all of my wonderful friends and amazing teachers every day. They are all truly magnificent people.

Explain your prop: The prop I am using is my stat book. As I have already mentioned, I had the privilege of being the statistician for the boys and girls basketball teams at Eagle Ridge for two and half years. That is why I chose this prop.
