Donald and Carol Dean of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Lillian Marie Dean, to Stephen Louis Hoell. He is the son of Robert and Gail Hoell of Fulton, Mo.

Dean received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and religious studies from Westminster College at Fulton in 2004. She is pursuing a master's of education in elementary school counseling.

Hoell received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Westminster in 2005, and will be pursuing a master's degree in career counseling at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

A May 2006 wedding is planned at First Presbyterian Church in Fulton.
