Heeb-Long

MORLEY, Mo. -- John and Gayle Heeb of Bell City, Mo., and Randy and Teresa Conn of Morley announce the engagement of their daughter, Kendal L. Heeb, to Lt. Travis J. Long. He is the son of Robert and Stephanie Long of Dover, Ohio.

Heeb is a 2000 graduate of Scott County Central High School. She received a degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004.

Long received a bachelor of science degree in secondary education from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Fla., in 2001, and a master of divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tenn., in 2004. He is pursuing a doctorate of philosophy in religion from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary. He is commissioned as a chaplain in the U.S. Navy, and is assigned to the U.S. Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow, Calif.

An Aug. 27 wedding is planned in Morley.
