Gary L. Buchheit of Perryville and Annie M. Buchheit of St. Louis announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon Elizabeth Buchheit of Perryville, to Cody Jean Walker of Jackson. He is the son of Kevin B. Walker of Patton, Mo., and J. Gail Kocher of Jackson.

Buchheit is a 2001 graduate of Jackson High School. She is employed at Rhodes 101 Stop in Perryville.

Walker is a 2001 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a degree in mass communication from Southeast Missouri State University in 2005. He is employed by city of St. Peters, Mo.

An Aug. 5 wedding is planned at the Rock Garden in Jackson City Park.
