Cape dentist graduates from continuum

Dr. Shanon Kirchhoff, an orthodontist with the Brace Place in Cape Girardeau, graduated May 19 from the Missouri Dental Association's inaugural Leadership Development Continuum after completing a year- long professional study course.

Kirchhoff completed the 45-hour continuum in cooperation with the MDA and the state of Missouri.

Nursing league offers local programs

Recruiting and Retaining Talented Employees: Locate Them, Love Them or Lose Them" is the subject of a workshop to be given by the Missouri League for Nursing June 1 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. Shelley Carley, director of nutrition services at Woodbine HealthCare, is the presenter. Carley has more than 14 years experience in managerial dietetics.

On June 9, the MLN will give a workshop, "Medication Safety: Human Error or Human Factors," at Saint Francis Medical Center in the Franciscan Conference Room. Sharon Stinson, director of Nursing Administrative Services at Southeast Missouri Hospital, will be the presenter.
