Palmer-Harper

Richard and Brenda Stroer of Jackson and Dale and Dennie Palmer of Harrisburg, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Palmer, to Erik Harper. He is the son of Barbara Harper of Cape Girardeau.

Palmer is a graduate of Jackson High School, and received an associate degree from Mineral Area College. She is employed at Orthopaedic Associates in Cape Girardeau.

Harper is a graduate of Meadow Heights High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He is employed by Missouri Department of Corrections.

A Sept. 3 wedding is planned at Tybee Island, Ga.
