Spence-Wheeler

Dr. Paul and Phyllis Spence of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Pelts Spence, to Daniel Everett Wheeler. He is the son of Michael and Linda Wheeler of Oran, Mo. Spence is also the daughter of the late Jamison Pelts.

Spence is a 2002 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She expects to receive a degree in dietetics from Southeast Missouri State University in 2007.

Wheeler is a 1999 graduate of Oran High School. He received a bachelor's degree in political science from the university in 2006. He is employed at Wheeler Steel and Truck Equipment.

A Nov. 4 wedding is planned at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.
