Upcoming

Prostate cancer screening clinic will be from 8 a.m. to noon Sept. 20, sponsored by Southeast Missouri Hospital's Regional Cancer Center and Cape Urology Associates.

Appointments aren't necessary. Men should report to the main lobby of the hospital for the screening. The screening takes only a few moments and can help detect prostate cancer at an early state.

The clinic is being held in conjunction with national Prostate Cancer Awareness Week. Cape Girardeau is one of more than 500 sites around the country conducting the screening as part of awareness week.

Memory Walk for the Alzheimer's Association begins at 9 a.m. Sept. 20 at Capaha Park. The walk helps raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association which offers educational programs, family support and respite care assistance.
