Ruth Haertling of Altenburg, Mo., announces the engagement of her daughter, Kimberly Haertling, to Allen Pooker. He is the son of Mildred Pooker of Jackson, and the late Chester Pooker. Haertling is also the daughter of the late Harlen Haertling.

Haertling is a graduate of Jackson High School and Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed by Dr. Louis Kouo.

Pooker is a graduate of Hillsboro High School and Linn Technical School. He is employed by Busch Lane Enterprises.

A July wedding is planned at New Wells.
