Mr. and Mrs. Jim Burns of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Clair Burns, to Patrick James Krueger, both of St. Louis Park, Minn. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Krueger of Lakeville, Minn.

Burns is a 2000 graduate of Central High School, and received a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from the University of Georgia. She is a consultant with Accenture in Minneapolis, Minn.

Krueger is a 2000 graduate of Lakeville High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in finance from Iowa State University. He is a financial analyst with Grant-Thornton in Minneapolis.

A Sept. 1 wedding is planned at Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
