CAIRO, Ill. -- Don and Mary Franklin of Cairo announce the engagement of their daughter, Lori Franklin, to Lyndal Vaughn. He is the son of Larry and Gloria Vaughn of Olive Branch, Ill.

Franklin is a1998 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She expects to receive a bachelor of science degree in early childhood from Southeast Missouri State University in May. She is employed at J.C. Penney Co.

Vaughn is a 1995 graduate of Egyptian High School. He is employed by Alexander County Highway Department.

A June 26 wedding is planned at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cairo.
