Aggertt-Smith

Joyce Aggertt of San Jose, Ill., announces the engagement of her daughter, Kimberly Jo Aggertt of Advance, Mo., to Noel Travis Smith of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Larry and Linda Smith of Rockport, Ind. Aggertt is also the daughter of the late Joe Aggertt.

Aggertt is a 1995 graduate of Illini Central High School in Mason City, Ill. She received an associate's degree in applied arts and science from Illinois Central College, and a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a fifth grade teacher with Advance School District, and is head varsity, junior varsity and junior high volleyball coach.

Smith is a 1994 graduate of South Spencer High School in Rockport. He received a bachelor's degree from Southeast University, and expects to receive a master's degree in community counseling from Southeast in 2005. He is the Southeast Missouri area representative of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

A July 24 wedding is planned at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Emden, Ill.
