Franklin-Labbee

Connie and Scott Mann of Cape Girardeau and Philip and Pam Franklin of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill DeAnn Franklin, to Nicholas Alexander Labbee. He is the son of Pamela Labbee of DeSoto, Mo., and Roger and Mary Labbee of Mesa, Ariz.

Franklin is a 1998 graduate of Central High School, and received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Southeast Missouri State University in 2001. She is employed in loss prevention at TJ Maxx in St. Louis.

Labbee is a 1998 graduate of Hillsboro High School, and received a bachelor's degree in computer science from Southeast in 2002. He is employed in information technology at Washington University School of Medicine.

An Oct. 16 wedding is planned at St. John's United Church of Christ.
