Activities while in high school: FCCLA (treasurer, vice president, devotional leader), student council, Senior Beta (secretary), yearbook (editor in chief), volleyball (captain), choir (president), class officer (president and secretary), FCA (co-captain), Jr. Beta (state vice president and local president), pep club, National Honor Society

Honors received: George Washington Carver Award, United States Army Reserves National Scholar/ Athlete Award, All-District Choir four years, Presidents Award for Educational Excellence, Glory Of Missouri Award for Knowledge, Overall Best High School Musician

Favorite high school memory: "I enjoyed all four years of high school as a whole. When you go to school at such a small school, every day with your friends can be memorable! It is hard to pin point just one specific memory."

What are your plans for the summer?: "Work at Dr. Freeze's dental office as a dental assistant."

What will you miss about high school?: "The atmosphere of a small school. Going from 15 students in your graduating class to a large university will be a huge adjustment for me."

Samantha Holland

Post-graduation plans: attend Southeast Missouri University, major in biology

Activities while in high school: Beta Club (president), FBLA (historian), student council (treasurer), FCCLA (recreational leader), pep club and Smokebusters

Honors received: Regent's and MAP Textbook Scholarships, second-place in the Optimist Essay Contest, academic letter

GPA: 4.35

Favorite high school memory: "Well, there are so many it is very hard to narrow it down. I guess my favorite memory would be the Beta conventions. Branson was always a blast for all of the Beta Club members!"

What are your summer plans?: "I plan to work a lot and save up for college. I also to plan to spend lots of time with my friends and family. I just want to enjoy this summer as much as possible!"

What will you miss about high school?: "I will miss my friends most! Also I will miss being involved in so many clubs."

Favorite high school memory: "I was the starting guard, at 165 pounds, on the football team my senior year when we beat Scott City for the first time in 21 years."

What are your summer plans?: "I plan to work at the Chaffee swimming pool, spend time with my friends and relax."

What will you miss about high school?: "I will miss the teachers, seeing my friends every day, and all of my sports and school activities."

Lacy Welker

Post-graduation plans: Attend Southeast Missouri State University, become a registered nurse

Activities while in high school: Beta Club (historian two years, president one year), FFA (historian one year)

Honors: Girls State, Hugh O'Brian Youth leadership, two area FFA proficiency awards, outstanding drum majorette, outstanding woodwind

Favorite high school memory: "Anytime with Justin Owen in math class our senior year."

What are your summer plans?: "I have a summer class, and I have just started a job at Capaha Bank in Jackson."

What will you miss about high school?: "Band class with Mrs. Myers."
