Thompson-Ward

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Lynn and Mary Jo Thompson of Advance announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Thompson, to Brett Ward. He is the son of Jim and Verna Ward of Poteau, Okla.

Thompson is a 1999 graduate of Bell City High School, and expects to receive a degree in social work from Southeast Missouri State University in December.

Ward is a 1998 graduate of Poteau High School. He received a degree in animal science from Oklahoma State University in 2002, and is attending Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Stillwater.

A Dec. 18 wedding is planned on the Showboat Branson Belle in Branson, Mo.
