Rotary Exchange student applications deadline approaches

High school students interested in spending the 2009-2010 school year abroad as a Rotary exchange student can apply to the Jackson Rotary Club via the Jackson High School Counselor's Office. Friends of the library seek donations

The Friends of the Riverside Regional Library at Jackson are accepting donations of books, magazines, videos, CD's, board games and puzzles in good condition for the group's fall book sale Oct. 16 to 18. There is an especially big need for children's books. Donated items may be dropped off at the library, 204 S. Union St. in Jackson. The Friends of the Library are a not-for-profit organization that works to support the library by raising funds and assisting with programming that the library budget is not able to provide. Interested individuals who wish to help support the library should inquire at one of the circulation desks or call 243-8141.
