Civil War Roundtable meets

The Cape Civil War Roundtable will have a presentation on "The Medal of Honor" by longtime member Randy Royce at 2 p.m. at Hanover Lutheran Church, 2949 Perryville Road, Cape Girardeau.

The annual Niswonger homecoming dinner includes a business meeting that will follow the 12:30 p.m. dinner at the Niswonger Church, Highway 72, located three miles west of Millersville. The dinner will move to the First Baptist Church basement in case of rain.

Poker run will benefit diabetes

The third annual poker run to benefit diabetes welcomes all motorized vehicles to start and finish playing poker at Minor's Harley Davidson, Scott City. Registration begins at 11 a.m.; vehicles due back by 4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the American Diabetes Association. Prizes, refreshments, gift certificates will be given. Church holds spaghetti dinner

Emmanuel United Church of Christ will have a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at 304 E. Adams St. in Jackson. Price will be reduced for children 5 to 10; children 4 and younger eat free.
